Start by vacuuming the upholstery with an upholstery attachment to remove any loose dirt and dust. Be sure to get into all of the crevices and seams of the furniture. If needed, you can use a brush attachment to remove any stubborn dirt or debris.

After vacuuming, use a mild detergent and warm water to create a cleaning solution. Spot test the solution on a small area of the furniture to make sure it does not cause any discoloration. If the solution is safe, use a clean cloth to apply the solution to the upholstery and gently scrub in a circular motion.

Once the furniture has been scrubbed, wipe away the solution with a damp cloth. If needed, you can use a handheld steamer or steam cleaner to remove any remaining dirt or debris. Be sure to keep the nozzle at least 12 inches away from the furniture to avoid damaging the fabric.

Once you have finished cleaning the upholstery, allow it to air dry. To help the upholstery retain its shape, place a few pillows or cushions on top of the furniture. This will also help to prevent any wrinkles or creases from forming.
